• By entering this competition, you agree to accept and be bound by these terms and conditions.
• This competition is open to anyone aged 16 or over who is a resident of the UK or the Republic of Ireland, except for employees of The Random House Group Limited (the promoter), its subsidiaries, their families and any other company connected with the prize draw.
• The closing date for the prize draw is 31st August 2008 (the closing date). Entries that are illegible or received after the closing date will not be considered.
• The promoter is not responsible for delayed or lost entries. Proof of entering is not proof of receipt of entry. Only one entry will be accepted per entrant.
• The prize is Traditional Afternoon Tea for Two at the Ritz plus travel costs of up to £70 (seventy pounds) per person, (the prize).
• The prize must be claimed by Tuesday 30th September 2008. A gift voucher will be issued to the winner and will be valid for 12 months. The prize must be redeemed by the expiry date on the voucher. The prize is subject to availability. No cash alternative will be offered.
• The promoter will reimburse travel costs up to a maximum of £70 (seventy pounds) per person provided that such costs relate to standard class public transport fares to and from the Ritz. Receipts relating to such travel costs are to be sent to the promoter at the address below. The promoter will not reimburse first class travel receipts. The winning entrant is wholly liable for all other costs incurred during the weekend, including food, refreshments and accommodation. No cash will be given if travel costs are less than £70 (seventy pounds) per person.
• Events may occur that render the awarding of this prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the promoter and the promoter may, at its absolute discretion, vary, amend, suspend or withdraw the prize with or without notice.
• The competition will be judged by the promoter within 7 days of the closing date and the winning entrant will be the first correct answer drawn by the promoter. The winning entrant will be notified by email within 14 days of the closing date by Monday 15th September.
• The winning entrant agrees to the promoter’s reasonable use of their name, address and photograph in relation to the promoter’s publicity material.
• Your personal details will be retained and used by the promoter in order to send winners their prizes and further information. Your personal details will not be passed on to any third parties.
• The winner’s names will be available upon the promoter’s receipt of a stamped addressed envelope.
